Magnificent river, that flows from the springs of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello massif. Its character, mostly torrential in the upper part of the valley, becomes more docile as it flows towards the Garda Lake. The only river reported for fishing in medieval writings together with Avisio, is still today at the top for the fishing among the rivers of Trentino and certainly throughout Italy. The bottom mostly consists of gravel and stones of all sizes with massive boulders that form environments of rare beauty. Populated by marmorate and wild brown trout, also of large dimensions, especially in the reserves, where surprises are around the corner. Don’t forget to pay a visit to Val Genova, with its waterfalls; the Val Nambrone with its crystal clear water and the Val Brenta with its gorges excavated in the calcareous rock. The accessibility of the banks is comfortable in some parts, while for other areas it is essential to know the place to safely reach the best spots. The fishing season, from February to October, is characterized by a ideal weather and clima for fly fishing. The torrential character of the river Sarca makes it a popular destination for all fly fishermen, where they will be able to perform in every technique, from dry fly to the streamer, passing through the always effective nymph.
